About DC Sports

DC Sports started the way most fan sites do: a group of people who wanted somewhere to talk about the game that was better than yelling into a timeline. It grew into a network of team sites, and this page is the front door to all of them.

The idea is simple. Washington is a one-city, many-teams town, and following all of it means bouncing between a dozen outlets, half of which want your credit card first. So we built a single front page that pulls the day together — our own reporting alongside the best of what our team sites are publishing — and we left the door unlocked.

Everything is written and edited by volunteers. Nobody here is paid. What money comes in through donations goes to hosting, travel, and the cost of covering games in person — spring training, road trips, the winter meetings — not to salaries.

The front page is arranged like a sports section: lead packages up top, team sections below, and a headline digest at the bottom. Some headlines open an article here; others link straight out to the team site that published it. Either way you get the whole day in one place.

The score ticker along the bottom of the page updates itself throughout the day, and the scores page carries the fuller picture. Every story ever published is browsable from the archive, filterable by team.
