You know what? I'm just going to say it. The last time the Washington Nationals were at or above .500 this late in a season, most of us had probably blocked it out of our memories. Tonight they have a chance to get there, and I'm not pretending that's not a big deal.
Yes I know it's "just" .500. Yes I know this is still a young team in the middle of a rebuild. I don't care. After what we've all sat through the past few years, a winning record feels like a ticker-tape parade.
